AC Milan have woken after Gennaro Gattuso roar. The Reds from Milan have impressed everyone with the way they have played under new manager Gennaro Gattuso. They look a different side under Rino – more dangerous and technically composed.
Carlos Ancelotti recently praised how Gattuso has transformed AC Milan – “[Gattuso] is a leader, the soul of the team, and the players would walk on fire for him, it took him very little time to create the right chemistry.”
Even former AC Milan skipper Andreas Pirlo praised the New AC Milan era of Gattuso – “He has brought desire and a sense of belonging.”
Everyone believes that this AC Milan can achieve big with the way they are playing now and big test lies ahead of Rossoneri when they face English giants Arsenal in the Round of sixteen of UEFA Europa League.
Who could feature for the Italian Diavolo’s against Arsenal?
Gianluigi Donnarumma is quite clear choice between the woodworks. He is regarded as one of the best young talents in footballing world and this is another big opportunity for him to prove that.
The Italian starlet has kept eight clean sheets under Gattuso and have been doing well recently.
Leonardo Bonucci and Alessio Romagnoli will probably take charge in the centre of the defence. The duo have been composed and consistent for quite sometime now and they are poised to trouble Arsenal’s attack.
Zapata, Musacchio and Gomez have not been given any real chances recently and are expected to continue in reserves for the fixture.
Davide Calabria and Ricardo Rodriguez as full backs. Davide Calabria have impressed not only defensively but also offensively under new gaffer and will probably continue to impress in the future. Ricardo Rodriguez have not quite hit the ground running in his early days of AC Milan career. The Swiss has been given license to go forward by Rino and has got potential to play an important role offensively.
Antonio Conti is injured and Calabria has been highly impressive and grabbed the chance with both hands.
Lucas Biglia as well as Riccardo Montolivo have been impressive under Gennaro Gattuso. They are both composed and experienced defensive midfielders and it will be interesting to see Whom Rino will prefer on the Big day. As per the recent performances it seems Biglia will be given the opportunity ahead of Gattuso as CDM.
The involvement of Giacomo Bonaventura is absolutely certain. Bonaventura is one of the most respected and famous face in AC Milans squad and is equally important for the team. The Italian International is a grinder on the pitch as well as his technique and vision makes him a valuable asset for AC Milan.
Franck Kiesse may have been on Loan but he has made his presence felt. In his short tenure at San Siro he has made a name for himself and made himself a core player of this squad. He provides physicality and stability in the centre of the park.
One if the first person on the team sheet – Suso, is one of the best winger in Italy at the moment. He scores goals, creates them, wins possession, works hard…He is someone Arsene Wenger should worry about. He is certainly going to play a vital role this midweek.
Hakan Calhanoglu is regarded as one of the long ball shooters in the business right now, he has scored some absolute screamers for Bayer Leverkusen before moving to Italy. He has not yet adapted to Italian side of the game but you cannot rule his shots out.
Fabio Borini is also a considerable option, but with Gussato’s preference at the moment Calhanoglu makes cut.
Now Milan have some real options to consider for striking position and Gussato Gennaro have some real selection head ache.
The first one we will talk about is – Nikola Klinic, who has just been back from his injury. It was not a long term injury – just a couple of weeks out, but it doesn’t look like he will be given the work load against Arsenal.
Andre Silva is another of the big name starlet Milan possesses. After his big money move from Porto, the Portuguese have still not scored in Serie A but have been quite impressive in Europa League.
Patrick Cutrone – the academy product who have impressed in the opportunities provided to him. The 20-year old have scored seven and created two under Gattuso but his inexperience might force him out of the Starting XI.
Andre Silva makes the cut to start as the centre forward. He is young and relatively experienced. He is even matured enough to start games like these.
