Alexis Sanchez will ‘look for move back to Arsenal’ after failing miserably at Man Utd

All that glitters is not gold. It’s an old phrase and probably too out dated to even use it. But a year ago, a team from Manchester should have applied it in reality. And it’s the Red half.

The saga revolves around Alexis Sanchez, the mercurial winger who was on his days the best in Premier League. The Chilean was keen to move away from Emirates in order to compete for trophies both in England and Europe. And in this quest, he put in a transfer request in January which was not at all surprising. Alexis had lost his will to play for the North London based side and was widely criticised for his behavior. He was waiting to run down his contract and this resulted in a serious of poor performances.

This resulted in rumors and with rumors came offers across Europe. But both the Manchester clubs looked poised to bring the Chilean at their club. And for most part of the January window, City looked the likely destination. But José and United came in late to hijack the deal with an offer that was best for them. They offered Arsenal Mkhitaryan in return for Sanchez. A straight swap. And at that time, it looked as if united have pulled a master stroke. Henrikh Mkhitaryan was no longer a part of Jose’s plan. So they discarded him and in return got Alexis. On the other hand Arsenal got their own benefits as Sanchez was certainly going to go at the end of the season so they tried to get whatever they can for an out of from player. And instead of losing him for absolutely nothing, Arsenal got Mkhi. Not an upgrade but certainly an update!

One year down the line, rumors are going around saying that Alexis might well be back at Emirates after what was a horrible year for him personally and as well as for united. He scored a massive total of five goals throughout the year. And all this with a reported wage of £500,00 a week. Lackluster, disappointing, just another player and what not. Sanchez is no longer that big player, he barely manages to be a part of important games and is hardly even used. With Arsenal’s recent form, it won’t be surprised if Alexis is on the move again. A disastrous move with many if and if not. Pep is certainly smiling right now with much more glitter and gold.

With many clubs keen on his situation, Russian manager Andrei Kanchelskis thinks that the Chelian should indeed make a return to North London.

“Sanchez was the main man at Arsenal, but he’s just another player at United and he hasn’t been able to adapt to that,” he told Bwin.

“He was loved by the Arsenal fans and got to be their idol, which pumped him with confidence every week, but with other major stars around him at United, he is failing to meet expectations.

“I wouldn’t be surprised to see Sanchez look for a move back to Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

“The only issue is, will he be able to demand the same wage if he leaves Man Utd.

“He’ll want to secure Champions League football, which Arsenal look more likely to gain as it stands.”

The intimate love story of Jose Mourinho and third season contines once again as Mmanchester United stand under high pressure over their current situation and Jose Mourinho could probably gone next season.

He added: “There is a certain way United like to play, but the players and fans aren’t getting that under Mourinho.

“That doesn’t matter to Mourinho and he will stick with what has brought him success elsewhere.

“This is Mourinho’s way and everyone needs to understand this is what will always be the case if he is in charge.

“Mourinho will be trying to resolve the issues that he’s facing from certain players, but it’s hard to adjust during the season.

“The problem is that he has to try fix them now while fixtures are coming thick and fast because he may not be given the opportunity to rectify it next summer.”
