Arsenal are scheduled to visit Chelsea today as its time for London’s most exciting derby.

This is the beauty of Premier League, it hands you excitement every time there are two elite clubs playing against each other.

After the departure of Diego Costa in the previous season, Chelsea brought Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid as his replacement.

But, Alvaro Morata somehow failed to show his potential at Chelsea in his first season. With failure of Morata, the Blues were desperately in need of a target man and they basically brought Premier League’s best target man in Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud in the winter transfer window.

With arrival of Giroud, Antonio Conte started to rotate between Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata week-in-week-out. But, Alvaro Morata again failed to impress in the big games for the Blues whereas Olivier Giroud scored the winning Goal against Southampton in the FA Cup semi final in the last season. Olivier Giroud’s good performance for Chelsea in the later stage of the match has helped him cement his place in Franve’s staring line-up going to World Cup. The 31 year old centre forward has played an influential role for his national side and guided his team to win the World Cup one month ago.

After failing to secure the top four position in the Premier League, Antonio Conte has been sacked by the Chelsea Board. Chelsea have a new man in-charge in Maurizio Sarri, who is now wishing implement a completely new strategy for the Premier League side.

In the preseason followed by opening match against Huddersfield, Maurizio Sarri has kept his faith in Alvaro Morata (though Olivier Giroud and Eden Hazard enjoyed extended break due to their extended participation in World Cup). But, the Spaniard has failed to deliver in the preseason matches too. Alvaro Morata has not been able to play an influential role for the Blues in the Community Shield match against Manchester City and in their first Premier League match against Huddersfield Town too.

This has led one side of Chelsea fans wants Olivier Giroud to start against his former club on Saturday.

It might be too early for Maurizio Sarri to drop Alvaro Morata from the starting lineup of Chelsea. Today the former Napoli boss sounded not much worried about the Spanish striker in the press conference ahead of the match against the Gunners.

“I am not worried about Morata. Morata is a very good player,”

“I think in this moment he needs only to gain confidence. But he’s a great player.

“He needs to gain confidence. But he’s improving. I’m not really worried about him.

“He needs to score. As do all strikers in the world, I think.”, Maurizio Sarri stated about Alvaro Morata.

So it looks like Alvaro Morata will be starting as No. 9  for the Blues against the Gunners tonight. Their superman from Belgium – Eden Hazard is inline to start his first match of the season. Maurizio Sarri will hope that, the combination of Alvaro Morata and Eden Hazard will work perfectly under his system.

Olivier Giroud will surely be in the bench of the Blues against his former club Arsenal and he will be ready to come in any moment of the match when his service will be needed.
