Arsenal determined to sign this La Liga midfielder

Carlos-Soler-valencia

According to Sky Sports, Arsenal are looking to bolster their midfield and have shortlisted Valencia’s midfielder ace Carlos Soler as their top priority.

It is presumed that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is a big fan of the Spaniard and is willing to make a bid for him if the summer transfer window does not get affected by the pandemic COVID-19.

The 23-year-old is not a complete package yet and has a lot of missing pieces. He even had a difficult season at Mestalla Stadium and requires valuable insights if he needs to improve his game and become a future star.

Soler has played 27 games this season but has been able to score only 3 goals because of his poor decision making. If Soler improves his decision in the attacking third, he surely is bound to impress Arteta furthermore.

Carlos-Soler

Arteta is surely impressed be the versatility that the Spaniard possesses. Often deployed in the right wing, he can even play as a number 10 or operate in more attacking role as a box to box midfielder.

He has had his struggles as a midfielder having only averaged 0.7 shots, 0.6 key passes and 0.8 dribbles per game in La Liga. However, his dribbling skills and ability to deliver some delicious passes into the penalty box make him a bargain worth taking the risk.

The Spain U-21 international is also great with long shots and is dependable during free-kicks and corners. The only drawback lies in his inability to score goals in the final third.

However, I feel that Arteta needs to be a little patient before signing the youngster because he is not a seasoned campaigner and right now Arsenal need someone who has proven his mettle over time.

Arteta should rather focus on strengthening his wing by improving Reiss Nelson and Bukayo Saka in the coming months.
