There is alot of negativity going around Arsenal as  of now,  and they are in desperate of some good news albeit the board deciding to back Unai Emery rather than just showing him the door. But here I will present you a good news as well as something where Emery alongside Edu & Raul have a very important decision to make…

The Gunners have invited Colorado Rapids midfielder Cole Bassett for a trial over the international break, the eighteen year old will spend a week in North London and rub shoulder alongside Arsenal’s Under-23 squad.

Bassett has been a lifelong Arsenal fan, as he admits it being a dream come true to get an opportunity to work with the Reds from North London.

“As most people already know, this is my favourite club,” Bassett admitted.

“I don’t know which team it will be because it’s an international break for them.

“Hopefully, there will be a couple of guys missing with the first team and I can get with them. But I’m just excited to get over there and show up basically.”

Arsenal played Colorado Rapids in this summer’s preseason and despite losing 3-0, Bassett admits to leran alot by playing against the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil and Alex Lacazette.

Bassett continued: “When Arsenal came over here and played us, you could see there are little things that they do that I just don’t quite have yet.

“I’m eager to learn from them. Picking up things from every player will help improve my game. It’s going to be a great learning experience.”

A year back, Bassett spent time in Germany with Bundesliga side Freiburg, and he went on about how spending time in Europe has benefited him.

“It was a good experience and I was glad I got to go and it got me a bit of exposure,” he continued speaking about his experience in Germany.

“I kind of wish I could go back as well, but you need to get yourself out there to different teams.”
