Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Diogo Jota, is one of the names who seem to have impressed massively as elite clubs all over Europe target his services – And Arsenal are said to have joined the list of those clubs according to reports by Daily Mail.

Mikel Arteta could look to rebuild & reshape his Arsenal side into title contenders and with all invenstments in youngsters made lately, Diogo Jota ticks all the boxes as well.

Jota has been a crucial figure for Nuno Espírito Santo’s Wolves since his initial loan move from Atletico Madrid back in the summer of 2017, which then was made permanent for reportedly £12.7million.

Diogo Jota has registered 43 goals and further nineteen lay-offs in 120 appearances in infamous Wolverhampton Old Gold jersey, with fifteen of those goals & six assists coming in this season only.

Wolves captain Conor Coady talking with Wolves official website about his teammate: “We know Diogo scores goals, but it’s everything else that he brings to the team; everything out of possession, how hard he works to win the ball back.

“We saw it numerous times against Norwich, where he’s collecting the ball in his own half and running the full length of the pitch to get us up the field, so he’s a phenomenal footballer and it’s a pleasure to have him here.”

Arsenal are believed to be targeting wide attackers, and Jota is believed to be high on the Gunner’s wishlist. Jota is a versatile attacker known for his great vision, ability to carry ball forward and commit defenders. Also his superb passing and shooting skills will be a perfect fit in Arsenal squad.

However, Arsenal face competition from Jota’s former club – Atletico Madrid, who are ready to give Jota rather a higher price tag and with Wolves not keen to sell the Portuguese, they would rather play hardball.
