Arsenal will face Swansea City in the Premier League this weekend. Arsenal will feel confident about playing the match against Swansea after two consecutive victories. Arsenal had beaten Everton with a emphatic margin of 5-2 and was victorious against Norwich City in the round of 16 clash with a margin of 2-1.

On the other hand, Swansea City are not going through a good run of form. They had recently lost against Leicester City in the previous weekend in the Premier League and suffered a defeat against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup round of 16 clash with a 2-0 margin.

“We just have to believe that a good result and a good performance are around the corner,” Swansea manager Clement said.

“The performance was slightly better today but the result did not follow.

“We have got to show perseverance and determination to keep going through this difficult time we are having.”

“You are always disappointed when you lose a game,” Clement added.

The game will be expected to be a highly competitive one as Arsenal will try to maintain their recent good form and Swansea will try to turn things around for themselves from this match.

When and Where :

Arsenal vs Swansea City will be held on 28th October and game kick-off time is 19:30 IST at Emirates Stadium.

Team News :

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is trying to rotate his starting lineups for the Premier League and the Europa League matches. Theo Walcott is not getting the regular chances for Arsenal in the Premier League matches.

Former English footballer Ian Wright said,“Sometimes you can go to new surroundings and, all of a sudden, you can kick on again. Maybe that’s what he needs.”

“He’ll want to finish on a high in respect of what he’s doing, he’s given Arsenal great service and for me he should move on.”

“I’m not sure where he can go now with Arsenal and he’s only playing in the Carabao Cup and the Europa League.”, he added.

Wenger replied about Ian Wright advising Walcott to leave Arsenal in the pre match conference,

“I don’t want Theo to move on. His time in the Premier League will come.”

Eddie Nketiah was the star player for Arsenal to help them winning the round of 16 clash. He came as substitute from the bench and scored a brace for his team.

Wenger was also optimistic about Eddie Nketiah getting more first team chances this season. “Of course, if he continues to develop.”

Some good news are there for the Arsenal fans. Calum Chambers is now back on training. But Mustafi and Welbeck will not be available for this match.

“Everyone who was available at Everton is available for Saturday. Chambers back in full training on Monday.”

“We have the same squad that was available vs. Everton. The only players not completely back are Mustafi and Welbeck.”

Swansea manager Clement was not panicking before playing the big match against Arsenal this Saturday in the pre match conference. He was more concerned about his team’s strategy for this match.

“I don’t sense any fear in the players – we feel quite upbeat about this game and the games coming up,” said the Swans boss.

“Our record recently away at some of the big clubs is good.

“We went to Tottenham earlier this season and got a really good point and we got a draw at Old Trafford at the end of last season.

“We also went to Manchester City and pushed them really close – we deserved better that day.

“Then there was the Liverpool game last season. Our record there was terrible and they hadn’t lost at home in a year, but we went there and got a good result”

“We know we can go to the big clubs and get results.”

“Arsenal had a really good victory at Everton last weekend and we know we will not have as much ball as we would like,” Clement added.

“We’ll have to defend really well collectively and then look to convert a couple of chances.

“The framework in this type of game always needs to be that we defend well.

“We will have to be as strong defensively as we were at Tottenham, although we hope to have a bit more of the ball than we did then.”

Key Clash :

The key clash of the match is going to be between Alexandre Lacazette of Arsenal and Tammy Abraham of Swansea City. Lacazette had already scored 5 goals in Premier League this season for Arsenal and he will be eager to get another goal against Swansea. On the other hand, Tammy Abraham is not far behind. He had also scored 4 goals for Swansea City in the Premier League. The result of the match will depend mostly on these two players’ goal scoring form.
