Arsenal club-record signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who joined Gunners in January is effectively cup tied despite not playing in Europa League this season – which left Auba in huge frustration.

Aubameyang is ineligible to represent Arsenal because his former club Borussia Dortmund dropped from the Champions League into the Europa League, where Gunners are competing.

He was forced to sit out four Europa League ties so far – both legs of the last 32 against Ostersunds and both legs of last 16 against AC Milan.

With Gunners out of FA Cup and Aubameyang restricted to play in Europa League – Aubameyang only have Premier League to prove his worth this season.

“I am really frustrated because the rules are a bit… I don’t know how to say in English but I am disappointed because I can’t help my team,” Aubameyang said.

“When I was in Dortmund, I was playing every three days but now I play once a week or have a long time between games. It is not easy… that’s life. I have to deal with it.”

The Gabon striker has scored three Premier League goals in five appearances for the club including Sunday’s 3-0 win over Watford.

With Borussia Dortmund eliminated from Europa League many Aresnal fans were left confused whether their batman would be able to feature in the European competition this season.

To the frustration of Arsenal fans, Aubameyang won’t take any part in the Europa league this season.
