Malcom to Barcelona; Dembele to Arsenal?

Ousmane-Dembele-Barcelona

Arsenal were linked with a move for Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele out of nowhere, which got the supporters excited despite of the fact that Barcelona bought him just last season for a whooping €105million.

But it all seems possible now, ain’t it?

Barcelona surprisingly acquired the services of Malcom which has jeopardize Dembele’s future at Barcelona. Dembele managed to make just 20 appearances for Barcelona in all competition last season, scoring 3 goals backed by 6 assists.

In January, Ousmane Dembele was linked with a move to Anfield in a swap deal with Mohamed Salah going the other way, but it never went through.

He was also being targeted by Arsenal, who were looking for a replacement to fill up the void left by Alexis Sanchez.

This summer, he may attempt for a move away from Camp Nou. His time at Barcelona have been marred by several problems, and Malcom is the latest one.

Malcom-Barcelona

Malcom has been one of the top players in France over the entire last season and should suit the ‘Barca style of play’ more than Dembele. If the Brazilian hits the ground running, Dembele will have to look elsewhere for a regular starting role. Malcom plays mainly on the right flanks and likes to cut inside into the central areas which has allowed him to not only open up the opponent defence but also linking up well with his team mates.

The club should seek to protect one of its biggest-ever investments and convince Dembele.

Given their young age, Ernesto Valverde might opt for a rotation plan featuring both of his young super talents. Either of them can be an impact substitue for one another atleast for a certain period of time (given their young age they might be looking for development then minutes).

MUST READ:

Loaning one of them is another option available with Barcelona and given the performances Dembele put in last season makes him the favorite of the both to be loaned out.

According to the certain reports, Unai Emery is ideally looking to strengthen wide areas and Arsenal’s link to Kingsley Coman  and Ousmane Dembele just back the same.

Getting Dembele over a permanent deal seems really unlikely unless both of clubs agree for a loan deal, which seem ideal.
