Arsenal new boy Kieran Tierney will give everything for his new employers, and will run through brick walls for the club. – This is according to his Scotland teammate & Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn, speaking to talkSPORT earlier this week.

Tierney sealed his move to North -London on the deadline day for a reported £25million concluding a summer-long saga and Gooners are already expecting much from their latest acquisition once he is back from injury and his fellow countryman reckons Kieran will thrive in the Premier League in the Red & White.

“He’s got everything,” McGinn told the Jim White show.

“Once he gets back fit, he will run through a brick wall for Arsenal.

“Not only that, he can gallop up and down the pitch and get assists, he’s a very good crosser of the ball.

“He’s also a really humble guy who will improve all the time.”

Kieran can’t just be introduced into full training as the Scot has been recovering from a double hernia operation for sometime now which restricted him for only 21 league appearances for Celtic last season.

John McGinn, who opened his Premier League goalscoring account last week for Villa in their 3-1 defeat to Arsenal’s arch-rivals Tottenham, was about on his way to Celtic last summer only for his move to fall apart after the two clubs failed to agree a fee and he eventually joined Villa for £2.75m and won their Player of the Year award as they were promoted to the Premier League last year.

However, he still supports the Scottish champions.

“I’m still a Celtic supporter, I was watching the game at the weekend, and I always will be,” he added.

“It will never leave you.

“But I have to focus on doing my best for Aston Villa and whatever comes up in the future we will take it from there.

“I am still a Celtic supporter and the boys here know I harp on about it all the time but I’m fully focused on Villa.”
