Petr Cech have come under criticisms from supporters as well as pundits for his disability to play the ball at the feet.

But every word said was assumed taken back when Cech put up a Man of the Match performance in Arsenal’s 2-0 win against Everton at the weekend.

David De Gea is considered the best goalkeeper as of now despite those horror performances with Spain at the World Cup.

But former Newcastle United goalkeeper turned ESPN pundit Shaka Hislop, believes that Petr Cech in his prime days was far better than what David De Gea is right now.

“It’s easy to forget exactly how good Petr Cech was at his best,” Hislop told ESPN FC.

“I think Petr Cech’s game was more complete than David de Gea is, even now.

“David de Gea is showing better than Petr Cech did because he is playing in a worse team.

” Petr Cech had better defenders in front of him so he wasn’t called on as much as De Gea is to make those big saves.

“But in terms of total game, Petr Cech has it over David de Gea.”

And talking about Petr Cech at his best, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes Cech is getting back to his best, The Cech he was at Chelsea.

“I actually think Petr Cech, in these first five or six games, looks like the Petr Cech I remember at Chelsea,” Carragher said.

“Certainly in terms of the saves he makes, starting positions, coming out at people’s feet.

“Now, the criticism he’s got in terms of with his feet, and I’ve been critical of that, my criticism is not for the goalkeeper, it’s maybe more for the manager for asking them to do those type of things.

“It’s like a manager on the wing, you can’t do it.”
