West-Ham-vs-Arsenal-Preview

After losing 1-0 to Olympiacos in their 2nd leg match but still winning the tie by 3-2 in aggregate in the Round of 16 of the Europa League. Arsenal are now qualified for the Quarter-finals of the Europa League and will be facing Slavia Praha. But before that, Arsenal will travel back to London, this time East London as they play against David Moyes’s West Ham United on this Sunday.

Mikel Arteta will look to grab a win after their frustrating 1-0 loss against Olympiacos, which was on Thursday, and will look to take another 3 points and move up in the points table as their league form has been good. Arsenal will try to replicate their performances against their North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and grab another win. They are now currently sitting in the 10th position with 41 points but are having a good run-of-form by just losing one game in their previous five matches.

David Moyes’s side will look to hamper their opposition as the Gunners will be coming to their stadium just two days after losing a game. West Ham will look to grab another 3 points and stay in the top 5 positions in the points table and for that, they will look to play their best game on Sunday against an exhausted Arsenal side.

Arsenal will try their best to not let their poor performance against Olympiacos in the second leg of the Europa League affect their Premier League form as they have now lost only one match in their last 5 matches. Arteta and his men will try their best to climb up the ladder and grab a place in the top 5 of the table.

There are a couple of injury issues faced by Arteta as their star player Bakuyo Saka is having hamstring problems and has not recovered and for that, he will be facing a late fitness test and is likely to miss this match. He had also missed the 2nd leg match against Olympiacos.

Other than that, Willian was facing a calf injury but he has now been recovered and should be ok to play the match on Sunday. Granit Xhaka looked a bit exhausted as he has now played 13 consecutive matches for the Gunners and it seems like finally, he has shown signs of extortion. So, he will most likely be missing this match.

Pablo Fornals will miss this match too. Also, Angelo Ogbonna, Arthur Masuaku and Andriy Yarmolenko are still recovering from injuries and will miss the match on Sunday.

Other than that, there have been no fresh injuries on the West Ham side from their previous match.
