What Jack Wilshere should do to earn a new contract?

What Jack Wilshere should do to earn a new contract?

Once regarded as ‘The Golden Boy’ of English football, is now struggling to find first team football with his career sagging owing to perpetual injuries.

Injuries are now thing of antiquity as Jack Wilshere is getting back to his best. He is showing that adequacy which he used to be known for.

Though, his future at Arsenal still remains blur. Wilshere has stepped in the tail twelve months of his current contract with the Gunners at the start of this campaign.

Wilshere made his first senior appearance this season when he came on against FC Cologne in the Europa League fixture hosted by Emirates Stadium. His first start came in victory against Doncaster Rovers as Jack looks to earn himself a new deal at Arsenal.

Former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard insists that Europa League is a perfect stage for England International to prove himself and drag Arsenal to European silverware – and earn new contract.

Lampard told the Evening Standard:

“The Europa League is a great opportunity for Jack Wilshere to show why he should get a new contract at Arsenal,”

“With the difficult schedule of Thursday-Sunday games, Arsene Wenger will rotate a lot more – and that should mean more appearances for Jack.

“There have been positive signs already. He was very impressive as a substitute against Cologne, then against Doncaster last week, so he will surely play a part at Bate Borisov on Thursday.”

Lampard added: “There is a lot of talk over Jack’s future, because he is out of contract at the end of the season.

“I’m sure Arsenal would prefer to keep him, but they will want to see that he’s fit first. But, by doing that, Jack will be in a position of strength if he gets 100 per cent again.”

Arsenal fans are believing in Jack Wilshere again, this is certainly a step forward. And their constant dividends to the belief will prove enough to get himself a new deal.
