Crystal Palace’s sensational attacking midfielder/winger Michael Olise has unsurprisingly been linked with a big move to Arsenal this summer, after an impressive outing with the Eagles under the management of Patrick Vieira.

The 20-year-old seamless adaptation to the top flight intensity has been nothing short of applause. In his maiden season, Olise already has two goals to his name and registered a remarkable eight assists in all competitions for the Eagles, ascertaining his reputation as one of the Premier League’s gifted ensuing talents.

Olise broke onto the scene at Reading last season and made a direct 19 goals contribution. His contribution aided the Royals’ seventh-place finish. In April 2021 he was nominated for the EFL Young Player of the Season and on 29 April 2021, he was crowned EFL Young Player of the Season.

His sudden rise to prominence has continued to be so consistent that the England team coach Gareth Southgate spoke of his intention to persuade the multinational player to pledge his allegiance to England.

The former Royals player qualifies to represent Algeria, Nigeria, France, and England. He has represented France U-18 and U-21.

The former Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City trainee reportedly have a £35m release clause inserted in his contract with Crystal Palace, despite the Eagles triggering an £8million release clause

Arsenal is a strong contender for his signature, and he would certainly be a masterstroke to sign under Gunner’s recruitment model of buying young talented players that have the quality and capacity to raise their ceiling for the club’s long-term success.

As expected, Arsenal will be busy in the impending transfer window with the manager keen to strengthen his team ahead of an imminent return to European football next season.
