Arsenal shot-stopper – the Czechoslovak Petr Cech and German Bernd Leno are playing in one of the top leagues in Europe the #EnglishPremierLeague, where the beautiful game got its modern look, to relish their best for decisive results of their action.

Petr Cech moved to Arsenal three years ago from Chelsea bringing a mammoth of experience in him. He has played hundreds of game at the highest level across the globe with Chelsea as well as for the country and has dealt with extreme pressure. He is tall and possesses comprehensive qualities – with extensive ball control strengths and reflexes.

With Chelsea he won four League titles, one Champions league title, four FA cup titles, three EFL title, one Europa league title and four English Super cup title. His place was taken by Thibaut Courtois who returns to Chelsea from his loan stint with Atletico Madrid.

Cech is a living legend for Chelsea supporters but many debate his quality after his switch to Arsenal. He have note-ably come under criticism for his poor record with The North London side to save from the spot.

He failed to thrive here. Petr failed to keep up with his form at Arsenal as his performances stagnated at Emirates, everyone was talking about Chelsea’s Petr Cech – until the arrival of Bernd Leno. Unai Emery brought German international Bernd Leno to give Arsenal an extra edge on the last line of defence but that did help Petr, maybe it motivated him to work harder and give more and since Unai Emery took helm, we have seen a different Petr Cech, a Cech which resembles himself from his Chelsea days.

Everyone thought Bernd Leno to draft in as first choice as soon as he arrived at Emirates, but you can’t rule Petr Cech out. Arsenal Boss Unai Emery backed Petr Cech despite of some high profile errors last season. Cech started every game for Arsenal under Unai Emery but he knew that his place as the No. 1 in net is far from secure.

With Cech between sticks, Arsenal have won 4 and lost 2 through 6 Premier League fixtures. But things got worse for the Czechoslovak. When Arsenal visited The Hornets in the Premier League’s Matchweek 7, Petr Cech suffered an injury in the first half, handing Bernd Leno his Premier League debut.

Leno was handed his first Premier League start last weekend in 5-1 win against Fulham.

He accepted the whole new challenge and did not made a lapse in his consistency. The German international has started five games in all competition for his side conceding four and keeping two clean sheets. His instant impact can cause Cech to step down from the first choice.

But, Petr Cech has earned his place, ain’t he?

When Arsenal bought Bernd Leno, he would have gone straight into starting XI but how Petr transformed himself under Unai Emery I would rather start him between the sticks as soon as he returns from injury.

Not to forget Bernd Leno has also been fantastic replacing Cech.

Yes, it’s a tough decision to make and Unai will have to scratch his head to give either of one a distant starting role. But Cech has never lost his place and first things first ‘he earned it’. So when Petr is back from injury it should be him to don between the sticks.
