Arsenal are said to be interested in signing talented Mexican winger Hirving Lozano from Napoli with the youngster said to be available for as low as £25 million.
Hirving Lozano has been touted as the next big thing for quite some time now. Whilst he might not have hit those astronomical heights yet, he has proved to be a useful player for Napoli.
The talented forward is out of contract in 2024. Napoli will know that unless they renew him on a new long-term deal, it is unlikely that they will get a big transfer fee for him.
Lozano has shown time and again that he has what it takes to be a top player for a top club. However, we have not seen such performances consistently enough and this could be a stumbling block for Chelsea.
It is still not clear as to why Arsenal even want Lozano in the first place. Yes, he is available for £25million but he is really not a signing that we should be looking to make.
We already have Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe who are all capable of playing in that position. Arsenal are likely to add Mykhaylo Mudryk to the squad as well.
As talented as Lozano is, this is a signing that Arsenal should steer clear of. We have other areas on the field to focus on and the wing is not a priority.
