Why did Arsenal send scouts to Roma vs Torino game?

Nicolo-Zaniolo

According to the reports, some of the personnel from Arsenal were spotted in Italy during the game between Roma and Torino. The speculations were that the scouts were on the stands watching the game and especially Nicolo Zaniolo and Nicolas N’Koulou.

While Unai Emery and his squad were expected to have a quiet January window with only chance of Denis Suarez coming on loan, this reports suggest a contrary fact.

But Raul Sanllehi, the chief of Arsenal and his team seem to have different opinion with them. They are still working on re-structuring the shape of their line-up.

Nicolo Zaniolo, a 19-year-old young midfielder from Roma is as promising as one can be at this tender age, and also plays for Italian U-21 team. Zaniolo did not disrespect the trip of Arsenal spy and scored the first goal in Roma’s win over Torino.

The youngster hit the rod in the right time and surely impressed the Gunner scout, hitting the net in the 15th minute courtesy of which Roma held the better of their opponents in most time of the game. The scouts were imminently there to see this young star of Italy who could be a future great and prospect for north Londoners.

Nkoulou

Another Seria A prospect, who is highly linked with a move to Arsenal, Nicolas N’Koulou, the centre-back from Torino. 28-year-old has started all the games playing for his present team and with Arsenal in deep need of a centre-back, the search was more of a necessity than a need.

Where at one place Unai Emery had told that Arsenal would not be signing any permanent player in January, the spies from North-London are still searching to sign a player on loan or otherwise to the team. The only deal that is concrete and confirmed by Arsenal is that of Ramsey who is on verge of greeting them goodbye.
