Dean Huijsen has found himself in limelight, having been dubbed as the ‘new De Ligt’ and that followed by generating interests from some of the most accomplished clubs from around Europe.

Juventus took the seventeen-year-old from Malaga in 2021 and promoted him to the Under-19s after initially including him with the U17 batch. Huijsen, despite operating on the last line of offence, has netted an impressive six goals from 14 appearances for the Turin based club’s U19 this season.

His impressive performances gained him an outing for the first team when Massimiliano Allegri played him in a friendly against Rijeka last week, and he has said to have left a big impression on Juve’s gaffer.

Matthijs de Ligt is said to be an idol for Dean Huijsen, with the former leaving Juventus in the summer for Bayern Munich. The Dutch U18 international now has an ‘uncertain future’ with the Old Lady as well. His contract expires in 2024 and his antics have gained interest from Arsenal.

Alongside Arsenal, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also said to be keeping an eye on Dean Huijsen.

Juventus doesn’t have a lot to worry about now, but they would be wanting to tie him up on a longer deal as interests from around Europe will start making it difficult to make the 17-year-old stay in Turin.
