Arsenal are reportedly targeting Club Brugge striker Wesley Moraes with the Gunners weighing up £15million January move when the winter window opens.

Arsenal have been tracking Moraes for some time now, and his 10 goals in 22 appearances in all competitions so far this season and Unai Emery is wiling to add quality to his striking options after Danny Welbeck’s long-term injury last month.

Club Brugge manager Ivan Leko has already admitted that Wesley Moraes is ready to play for a big club with the Brazilian striker himself mot ruling out a move away from Belgium next month.

The 22-year-old highly rated striker rejected move to Lazio in the summer, to develop more at Brugge. Though he has indicated that he would like a move at the end of the season, at the same time has not dismissed the possibility of a January one:

Speaking to the Belgian daily Nieuwsblad, as reported by InsideFutbol, Wesley Moraes said:

“It was not easy to refuse a bid from a club like Lazio, but I knew it was better for me.

“I Love Club Brugge and got the chance to develop myself.

“Normally, I would wait until June, but we have to wait.

“I’ll stay here as long as I can.”

Blauw-Zwart acquired Moraes from Slovakian side AS Trencin for a mere £900,000 and are all but set to make a healthy profit – if they decide to cash in on him this January.
