Arsenal take on Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday, as the Gunners look to extend their incredible lead at the top of the table as they march on to what is set to be their first title in ages. The high-flying Manchester United were brought back to earth in their 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace.

Both teams are going through very good moments at present. Arsenal have been virtually unbeatable all season whilst Manchester United are really stepping it up now. The only caveat in the Gunner’s season though has been a solitary loss in the Premier League which incidentally came to Erik ten Hag’s men.

Arsenal pretty much have a starting XI set in stone as they look to continue their domination in the Premier League. Arteta will be without three players due to injuries in the form of Gabriel Jesus, Mohamed Elneny and Reiss Nelson. The latter’s absence was considered a potential issue that could derail their season but Eddie Nketiah has stepped up brilliantly in his absence.

Emile Smith Rowe is back in the squad for a few weeks now after a long-term injury. When fit, the English youngster is an absolute delight. Whilst he might not start the game against Manchester United, Arsenal fans will be hoping to see him weave his magic in the near future.

The biggest absentee for Manchester United on the day is undoubtedly going to be summer signing Casemiro. The Brazilian midfielder who joined from Real Madrid has absolutely revitalized the midfield. He has been very crucial to Man United’s success and this could leave a gaping hole against Arsenal.

Donny van de Beek and Diogo Dalot are both set to be absent for a long-time. The latter was so crucial to Man United in the first half of this season but in his absence, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has really stepped up. Jadon Sancho has returned to training but this game might come too soon for him. Anthony Martial’s availability is unknown at the moment.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Arsenal will be keen to eradicate what has been their only blemish in an otherwise perfect season. Man United are the only team they have been unable to hold on against this season and will be wanting to put in a performance against the Red Devils. Mikel Arteta’s team is chugging along like a well oiled machine and let’s see if Erik ten hag can come up with something to stop that.

Man United’s perfect record after the resumption of club football was brought to a halt by Crystal Palace. Despite that, the Red Devils are constantly improving under Erik ten Hag. If he can manage to do the unthinkable and beat Arsenal twice this season, it would be the dream for every Man United fan.
