Eddie Howe gives Arsenal transfer boost in Ryan Fraser pursuit

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has hinted at the possibility of Arsenal target Ryan Fraser leaving the club in the upcoming summer transfer target.

Aaron Ramsey is set to depart the club at the end of the season and Arsenal will need to fill in that void in the summer transfer window. One player who is being targeted as a possible replacement for the Welshman at the moment by the North London club is Bournemouth’s star winger Ryan Fraser.

Fraser has scored six goals and laid off 10 more assists already, enjoying a stellar Premier League season with the Cherries. But these impressive displays have attracted interest from top suitors in the country including Arsenal with Unai Emery keen on bringing the winger to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

The hard-working, tough and skillful Scotsman could be a great addition for the Gunners attacking department as Fraser’s dynamism and his spark could be something that Arsenal are missing in the attacking third. And Arsenal now have an advantage of luring him to the English capital from the Dean Court Stadium after Eddie Howe’s latest comments.

While speaking to reporters, the 41-year-old Bournemouth manager seemed uncertain whether Fraser will sign a contract extension at the club with his current deal set to expire next summer, “We have spoken to Ryan and his representatives about his contract. It is one where we will see what happens. There is no doubting Ryan’s quality and how highly we think of him. He is an outstanding talent but it is a two-way prospect to sign a contract, so let’s wait and see. Ryan has contributed to the team this season but it’s not the time to talk about speculation. Who knows in the summer? It is that time of year when things change and we ourselves will be looking to sign players.”

Fraser has the experience of playing in the English Premier League and his traits will suit Emery’s philosophy as well. Arsenal should really look to make a bid for the 25-year-old midfielder in the next few months to wrap up the deal with Bournemouth.
