Harry Kane to miss Arsenal test? – FA gives their verdict

No, Harry Kane has escaped the ban that he would have supposedly got for his head butt with Cesar Azpilicueta in their last Premier League outing against Chelsea. Kane has escaped from 3-match ban after Football Association’s interference in his case.

The incident was presumed to have a 3-match ban on Spurs ace who recently got back on the pitch following 6-week long injury and the ban would have kept him away from the weekend London Derby, followed by the game against Southampton and a heavy-header against Liverpool.

The game that Sarri’s team, eventually, won 2-0 infused a load of altercation among the players, with Harry Kane being the anchor in almost every brawl. Starting with his headbutt with Cesar Azpilicueta to tangle with David Luiz, Kane was physically inclined the whole game and had a short spit of word with 3 other Chelsea players.

Pochettino said of Kane: “I think he’s so competitive on the pitch. We were frustrated, we want to win, we show our character.

“Things that happen that we don’t know because it’s impossible from outside the pitch to see what is going on inside. But that is football.

“It’s not a thing we should be worried about. When you finish the game and shake hands, big hug and the game finishes and it’s finished.”

The player did receive a yellow card for his spirited fight against David Luiz.
Harry Kane, however, saved himself from the 3-match ban but it seems like it will be the Manager who will not be allowed to be on the sidelines in the upcoming match for his improper conduct charge in Spurs 2-1 loss to Burnley.

Tottenham’s loss to Chelsea meant that the Lilywhites were out of the Premier League race leaving the fight only between the Merseyside Club and Blues of Manchester.

“After Burnley I said it was difficult, and tonight makes it impossible to fight Man City and Liverpool . Only they can win the league – we must fight to win games and to be fair.” said Pochettino on Spurs exit from title race.

Harry Kane’s presence in the playing XI would make the London Derby tougher for the visitors which could even keep them at bay from 4th place finish. Let’s hope Arsenal continues it’s mid-week form and travels with the same intensity, intact.
