Jorginho’s move to Arsenal has been the talk of the town in recent weeks, and for good reason. The Italian midfielder has been one of the league’s top players for the past few seasons, and his arrival to Arsenal’s roster might be crucial to the club’s quest for the Premier League championship.

To start, something we have already seen in his short time in North London – Jorginho is an experienced midfielder who has a lot to give and Arsenal’s youthful team will benefit greatly from this as they understand what it takes to win at the top level. He not only brings experience to the middle for Arsenal, but also a special set of skills – his pass success percentage in the Premier League was above 90% last season, attesting to his skill as a passer. As a ball carrier, he’s quite effective, and he can also break up the opposition’s attempts by tackling and making interceptions.

Jorginho is a born leader on the field, which is maybe his most notable trait. He has served as captain for Chelsea and Italy, and his experience in that role will be invaluable for a young Arsenal club still developing its identity.

The arrival of Jorginho at Arsenal might prove to be a turning point for the club. He might be the key to their Premier League title run with his wealth of experience, skill level, and leadership abilities. While the future is uncertain, the addition of Jorginho gives Arsenal fans cause to be optimistic about the forthcoming season.

He [Jorginho] spoke with DAZN about how a phone call with gaffer was all he needed to be convinced about a move to the better side of London, “It’s one of the reasons, surely. He [Arteta] called me and it was all very quick, we made the deal in less than 48 hours. I had spoken to Chelsea and I knew I was no longer part of their plans. I wanted to progress in my career and the Arsenal project suits me. It’s a young team that plays good football and fits my characteristics. I considered every scenario and made the decision. Sometimes you must accept when you are out of a project and that things come to an end.”

Now, his agent, Joao Santos, speaking with TuttoMercatoWeb elaborated how Arsenal moved quickly to wrap his client’s signatures and how the stance of Boehly and Chelsea helped – “Two days before the transfer market closed, we saw that Chelsea worked to sign Enzo Fernandez. Edu Gaspar wanted the boy [Jorginho] and so we made it happen. A new project – he did very well at Chelsea, winning a lot as a team and personally.”

Arsenal are competing on two fronts – the Premier League title and Europa League, and Jorginho’s presence could prove integral in winning both of them titles.
