Laurent Koscielny urges Gunners to stand together

After a dismaying loss against lower ranked West Ham, Laurent Koscielny who captained the side has urged his teammates to be strong and not get carried away by the defeat. As a result of the loss, Gunners are now tied with Manchester United on 41 points and are 6 points adrift Chelsea placed on 4th position.

The 33-year-old defender said,”We came here to win because for us the three points was very important, and next week as well to play against Chelsea.”

“We tried to play, we did well in the first half but didn’t have a lot of chances in the final third. We need to keep calmer in the final third and find the final ball, but in the second half we didn’t start well and conceded early.”

“After that we tried to push for the rest of the game, we had some chances and we didn’t score so it is difficult to come back with no points but we need two continue to fight to make the top four.”

Arsenal now face Chelsea in their next Premier League game and have to win to keep their Fourth place run on and fifth place intact. Manchester United on the other hand face a less competitive side, Brighton(who are not to be underrated) and a win for Red Devils will mean 5th place(if Arsenal lose or draw against Chelsea).

Wanting for the squad to be one, Koscielny added: “We are all together, it is not down to one or two players, we are a group and we need to stay together and to push more for the next game.”

If Arsenal are successful in keeping themselves glued as one, Chelsea won’t be a tough team to defeat considering Arsenal put in their best performance as wished by Koscielny.
