Leandro Trossard’s agent admits he could join Arsenal

Leandro-Trossard

Its been a while since Leandro Trossard has been linked with Arsenal on papers, and his agent has got the Gunners looking out by admitting his client could be on his way to North London this summer.

We know Arsenal will surely be looking out for a winger this summer, but with the club saying nothing and with hosts of names rumored, it’s almost impossible to know where their interest truly lies.

But steps forward agent Josy Comhair to give us a jist atleast…

“There is no agreement with any club yet,” Comhair told Het Nieuwsblad.

“But I think that Germany is a beautiful country for him. You can take it one step higher via Germany.

“Because with Arsenal you are immediately at the highest level and you can almost only go down. But yes, it can also be Arsenal.”

Couple of weeks back, German giants Wolfsburg were reported favorites to land Trossard’s signatures despite Arsenal been scouting the Belgian forna long time now.

Back in November, his agent admitted Arsenal being watching Leandro.. But there was nothing more than that ever since. However, it is claimed, they are back in touch recently.

“I contacted representatives from Arsenal and Tottenham,” Comhair responded (translated by Sport Witness).

“At Spurs, nobody wanted to confirm that Trossard is an option, but Arsenal did. They told me Leandro has a very interesting profile for them and that they’ve been following him since August.

“They also added it was a good choice to stay at Genk for another year. They ended the phone call with ‘They are keeping a close eye on him’.”

Arsenal have quite some problems uo-wide and with tally of 11 goals and four assists in 24 Jupiler Pro League games this season, Trossard might just be the answer they are looking for..

Although, Arsenal will have to beat Wolfsburg for his signature who are reportedly very keen to dress him green and white.

One big problem which could make Trossard move to Wolfsburg is his belief that he will get more time in Germany than with Arsenal in England.
