Barcelona star-striker Luis Suarez has sent his best wishes to teammate Denis Suarez as the latter prepares to join Arsenal on a six-month loan deal (with an option to consider in the summer).

The two clubs have finally agreed on a common ground, with the Catalan side allowing Denis to join Arsenal on loan despite the Gunners opposing to ‘compalsary purchase’ clause, with the 25-year-old penning a new deal at Barcelona to prevent his value incase Unai Emery opts against signing him up on permanent basis at the end of the season.

Suarez cleared out his locker and said goodbye to his Barcelona teammates on Tuesday and is expected to complete his move to London on Wednesday.

Former Liverpool ace effectively confirmed the move, posting a picture of him hugging Denis Suarez on Instagram Story alongside the caption: ‘Good luck little Galician in this new challenge.’

Denis Suarez has been desperate for a move away from Camp Nou to secure more first team minutes and had all his heart set on Arsenal since they came calling.

Denis has only appeared twice in La Liga this season under Ernesto Valverde, both of which coming as second half substitute.

Though, a reunion with Unai Emery, under him Denis flourished during his breakout campaign with Sevilla in 2014-15, comes as an opportunity to rejuvenate his career.

Arsenal are believed to be paying a £2million fee for Suarez’ loan, they can also buy him outright at any point during the loan if he impresses.

Emery has suggested Denis will be used mainly on the wing.

Unai, speaking after Arsenal’s win over Cardiff on Tuesday, explained: ‘Generally speaking, we need wingers, and if you have a player like Denis, I know him because he played for me at Sevilla. His quality is this.’
