Malcom to Arsenal? – I will rather call Reiss Nelson back

Ok, We are going to come across some of the talks which made headlines at the end of the transfer window this summer.

Let’s start with: ARSENAL NEED A WINGER

The rise of new dawn at Arsenal came with a new tactical approach not only to their game but also to the way they manage to bring in new recruits. Unlike Arsene Wenger, Unai Emery partnering with Sven Mislintat were aggressive in the transfer window by completing their recruits for the summer well before the deadline day.

Unai Emery brought in Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Bernd Leno, Matteo Guendouzi, Stephan Linchestiner and Lucas Torreira ahead of new season. None of which were winger. While approaching the deadline day, Arsenal were linked to numerous players who could play out wide from Kingsley Coman to Cristian Pavon – all of the upcoming talents were linked with a move to North London.

But Unai Emery instilled his faith in assets he had who are capable play out wide in Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Alex Iwobi and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Though his faith has paid back dividends – Arsenal still need a genuine winger.

THE CATALANS ROBBING THE ROMAN EMPIRE

Malcom Filipe Silva de Oliveira who had agreed a deal with AS Roma and was set to board a private plane to the City of Rome for completing documentation and officially making himself a Roma man, before going AWOL and signing for FC Barcelona making it one of the most controversial move we have seen over the years.

His life in the City of Catalonia has not started as he would have wanted with the Brazilian struggling to make an impact since his move from Bordeaux. His agent, Junior Minguella, admitted frustration of his client at Barcelona.

“Every player needs a period of adaptation and minutes on the pitch to prove their worth,” he said.

“He hasn’t had them yet, but he’ll prove his worth when he does play.

“He doesn’t like the situation, but he’s focused and very motivated.”

Ok, hold this story here.

REISS NELSON FLYING TO GERMANY LOOKING TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION

Reiss Nelson – tipped to be the next big thing at Arsenal after Arsene Wenger handed him his debut last year at seventeen.

Reiss had a strong pre-season under Unai Emery but had to seek a temporary move elsewhere to get some regular minutes under his belt. But Reiss has done something more than minutes – he has made an instant impact to his life in Germany by scoring four goals in four league games and seducing everyone in Germany with what he is capable off.

Let’s mix it up

Arsenal were linked to Malcom before he moved to Barcelona and the links have come up again with many regarding a loan move is on the table for the upcoming winter transfer window with a clause making it permanent. Arsenal do face some competition from their city rival Tottenham Hotsur and Inter Milan. But do we really need Malcom?

Rather than splashing the cash on Malcom we can cut short Reiss Nelson loan at Hoffenhiem and bring him back where he belongs. Talking about capabilities, Yes, Reiss Nelson is capable to fit in this Gunner side. We cannot demand performances week-in-week-out from the youngster but if you ask me I’ll bring Reiss rather than buying Malcom, Any-day.
