The treatment on Granit Xhaka refreshes Emmanuel Eboue

11 years after Emmanuel Eboue was sent off in tears against Wigan, Granit Xhaka has rewinded back the memories.

The brutal treatment received by Xhaka was no less than a punishment on his face. After being substituted against Crystal Palace, Xhaka was sent off with boos and not applauds the same way Emmanuel Eboue was sent off against Wigan.

The supporters hold their emotional and financial statement as a way of announcing their authority. When the things go good everyone is fine and that their club is best but when things turn around there’s always a player to blame, particularly for Arsenal fans.

Then it was the defender Emmanuel Eboue and now it was the guy with armband Granit Xhaka. While the former was decent enough to cry his way down the latter cried ‘enough is enough’ while going out furiously.

This is how players really reach their breaking point when they are done being abused. Leave away the treatment, Xhaka was already crumbling from within but was still courteous enough to fight for the pride of Gunners.

The treatment received by Emmanuel Eboue made him not come to training anymore.

“When you are a footballer and your own fans boo you, it’s very bad,” he said. “Your confidence goes. After that happened I said to Arsene Wenger, ‘I don’t want to come in any more for training.’”

The incidence of Eboue definitely explains us on how an incident can crash a player from within. Xhaka is certainly not going to get back in the training and maybe it was his last game for the club.
