Arsenal and Manchester United have recently collided with each other on a linked transfer of Belgian international Yannick Carrasco. Both the teams are in need of someone classy and Yannick does fit the bill but which team needs him more? Reds from Manchester or Reds from North-London?

If the Belgian does plan to join any of the two Premier League giants, where would he find himself a fit? In which team would he get to start more games?  Where will he be more influential?

The two of them are deeply in need of a defensive reinforcement, a centre-back who can be as good as Virgil Van Dijk of Liverpool or Kompany of City, a defender who is there to perish their defensive woes and be a treat to goalkeeper.

But with the speculations of their creative midfielders leaving to another clubs, both the teams need a replacement; an ideal one. Indeed, Arsenal have confirmed that Aaron Ramsey will leave to Juventus this summer for a confirmed 5-year-contract and Mesut Ozil not fitting in Emery’s 11 is also rumored with a move away from the Emirates. And over the same – Arsenal do need a winger, don’t they?

Alex Iwobi is the only natural winger Arsenal has right now

Arsenal only got Alex Iwobi as a natural wingman with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan filling in on the sides. Their need on the sides was imminent, however, to our surprise Unai Emery opted against signing a winger in the summer and that is hurting them.

[Even if Arsenal sign Denis Suarez, he is expected to play on the wings as he did for Unai Emery at Sevilla]

Same is for United where their most assist provider of this season Paul Pogba is conjectured on leaving the club to join Barcelona. If this happens to be true, both the clubs will need a replacement and who better than the former Atletico Madrid superstar.

For Arsenal – he fits the position, although he exceeds the needs for Manchester United. Yes, they’ll get someone with charisma to replace that of Paul but they do have that in Alexis Sanchez.

Yannick Carrasco touches his strength through his dribbling skills and ability to provide sublime through balls. More so, the player holds power in his long range shots, plays with the ball and is not afraid of being fouled for the team and is known to cut inside the defence and create goal scoring opportunities. While many qualities resemble to Ramsey who is known for creating chances and quality footballs but his ability to score from distance and provide through balls make him parallel to Pogba and a potential replacement.

The player can play as a forward or even a midfielder in either flanks, which brings in versatility to the team. Yannick Carrasco can bridge the gap that would be created and fill in the spots which the Gunners need to fill.

No doubt, Arsenal require a replacement for Laurent Koscielny before anything else but to get Carrasco for a low amount would be a shot worth trying and risk worth taking.

Despite the fact that Emery is keen on signing his former student Denis Suarez, Yannick Carrasco with his tons of experience having played for Monaco and Atletico Madrid would not be a bad find for Arsenal and Emery. And his wide range of technical skills and dribbling abilities will influence the likes of Aubameyang, Lacazette more than any other forwards of Premier League.

Manchester United already got some class on the flanks in Alexis Sanchez, Anthony Martial, Marus Rashford, Jesse Lingard – and Arsenal need someone on the flanks, he will get more importance as well as opportunities at Arsenal. But with lack of transfer funds as of now, it will be interesting to see how the hold out the proceedings to get in Denis Suarez as well as Yannick Carrasco.
