Why Arsenal should be desperate to beat Tottenham over services of Nicolas Tagliafico

The desperate left-back hole that Arsenal are consistently trying to fill in has now shaped into the speculation of being adapted in future by the Argentine international Nicolas Tagliafico.

Arsenal face a bitter rivalry as always for the 26-year-old by their derby partners. Both North London clubs are surfacing a move for the Ajax defender signed by the latter club for only £3.6 million from Independiente. The tussle for Argentine international is sure and it will be Arsenal and Tottenham fighting tooth and crook for the defender when Spurs necessarily should not do so. Why?

Tottenham Hotspur already have a left-back laden line-up laying in the bench. Mauricio Pochettino who fancies paying £15 million for Nicolas already has the services of Ben Davies and Danny Rose available on the bench. Now why would he want to add another player in the same position only to add one more player warming the bench.

Arsenal are lying in a parallel universe to Spurs when it comes to the requirement for a left-back. They just have two options for the spit, injured as well as ageing Nacho Monreal and a beast in Sead Kolasinac (who deserves some rest though). Apart from the age factor of Monreal, the experienced lad may no longer be a part of Gunners squad owing to his liking by GOAT Lionel Messi which makes him a Barcelona prospect.

Unai Emery should have a no brainer in getting the 26 year old to Arsenal because of the skill ser he possesses and the number of years of football he has left in himself. Nicolas will not only provide a tough fight to Sead for the left-back position but will also ensure the depth of squad.

The best bargain in hand for the Gunners to bring home an international defender who also has worthy Champions League experience.
