Arsenal fans have been discussing a lot about Buendia on Twitter about how he plays, his approach towards the game, his strengths and the intellect which he possesses; so much so that they have already started comparing him to Santi.

And after having a deeper look into the midfielder, I am not sure whether he will be the next Santi or not but what I’ve realised is that Buendia is a cheaper yet effective version of Dani Ceballos.

The 23-year-old has been one of the lights in a dark season for Norwich City. His club is about to be relegated and if they are, players like Buendia will get a chance to play for big clubs like Arsenal.

During the pandemic hiatus, Gunners have been a quite bunch and have not been linked with a number of players but Buendia is surely the one who has caught eyes of every Gunners fan and is someone that they want collectively.

The young Argentine is surely weighing above Dani Ceballos in number of aspects, primary of those being his dribbling skills. He is far better and above Ceballos when it comes to taking down a defender on his own and getting the better of him.

The midfielder is also more helpful in the attacking third as compared to Ceballos and his style of play would suit Arteta for sure. Also, Ceballos who would cost €40 million to Arsenal which is costlier to what they would have to pay for Buendia.

I would also like to add on the fact that Buendia has his own frailties and has only been able to assist seven in 28 games that he has played with no goals under his belt. He’s still raw but is a perfect fit in Arteta’s squad. He is exactly what the Gunners need to bolster their squad and can prove out to be a positive change.
