The search for a Ramsey-esque is on since the time he penned a deal with Juventus and seems likely to go on till forever. The scout of Arsenal have scanned innumerable amount of youngsters who can fit in the missing piece that will be left after Ramsey departs.
A number of players have come across, one already signed on loan in the name of Denis Suarez who has not fulfilled the thirst of replacement. Amongst many, a new name has pumped up of 21 year old young Dutch international Aaron Van Beek who has recently impressed aplenty just like his Ajax teammates.
A many of Arsenal fans on twitter have identified Van Beek as a potential prospect whose future can be woven in Emirate, just like his namesake Ramsey. The player has been liked for his recent display and the versatility he possesses.
Donny Van De Beek is capable of playing in various positions, as a number 6 or a number 8 but mainly as a number 10 where he proves to be an incisive decision-maker with quality and key passes that cause a havoc in oppositions’ defence.
He is always ready to help the team in attacking quadrant, present in the goal-scoring areas more often than not, spooning on-point crosses inside the box to his strikers. The quality-set of this player is like an overflowing sink but what he lacks is the knack of scoring goals. The finishing ability of this youngster is little below par and if brushed properly, the Dutch international can prove to be a perfect Ramsey replacement, one we are hungry for.
The stats of Van Beek are not that bad either. Having scored 14 goals in 48 games and providing plenty assists, a stat match for Van Beek with Ramsey is a tick. I feel all the boxes have been ticked expect for the finishing ability, that may make Arsenal think twice but not the fans of Arsenal.
The twitter was filled with tweets asking Arsenal to sign Van Beek as a replacement for Ramsey, where few comments read “ I want him to replace Ramsey” whereas one said “ Ramsey replacement we are looking for.”
I think with likes of Matthijs De Ligt, De Jong and other starlets around him – Van Beek is getting a lot less attention than he deserves and of all the targets Arsenal are rumored with to replace Aaron Ramsey, I think Van Beek will be the closest esque to his reigns.
