Arsenal planning on one more £100 million plus move

Evan-Ferguson-Arsenal

Arsenal are vying to steal Brighton’s young sensation Evan Ferguson next season who evidently has been rumoured to be costing over £100 million.

The Brighton superstar has scored 7 goals in 22 games played for the game which also includes one in their opening game against Luton Town where his team crushed through the opponents with a 4-0 victory.

Arsenal’s pursuit of Ferguson comes amidst the injury-prone nature of Gabriel Jesus. Their sole number 9 as per the books, Jesus has always found it tough to live an injury-less season. Arsenal therefore are looking for an alternative who can be strong in front of the goal and at the same time be a long-term representative. Evan, only 18 years old, perfectly slots in their candidature.

Despite interest in the youngster from arch-rivals like Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, Arsenal remain the favourite to make a move for Ferguson next season. According to FootballTransfers Report, the Irish footballer is receiving plenty of interest from North London.

The centre forward has been in the news since 2021 when he caught the eyes of Liverpool who were sneakily bettered by Brighton’s academy. Brighton then signed a long-standing contract till 2028 with the striker which does include a hefty transfer fee if he wishes to leave before contract expiry.

It is assumed that Evan Ferguson’s exit from Brighton will cost somewhere around £115 million (the same record amount that was paid by Chelsea to sign Caicedo) or even more.

The signing of Declan Rice and Kai Havertz has made it evidently clear that Arsenal are looking to challenge Manchester City for the title for years to come and in a bid to continue building their firepower they look to sign Evan Ferguson next season.

Obviously, Ferguson’s performance this season will lay a huge impact on Arsenal’s maneuver but if the youngster continues to outperform the critics, Arsenal may likely go all in to get him to sign the contract next season.
