Arsenal are targeting another youngster, but this time they are looking to swoop him straight from their rivals as Per Mertesacker & Co. are targeting Manchester United talent Angel Gomes.

The Red Devils are trying to persuade Angel Gomes to stay for over a year now, and with his contract running out in the summer – it looks like Gomes’ time at Old Traffod might be over..

Arsenal are keen to bring him to N5, although they’d have to pay a huge compensation fee to the Reds from Manchester. Though foreign sides could sign Angel for a cheap fee, but a deal within England comes with different rules.

Angel Gomes is an attacking midfielder highly rated by supporters at United, and has been compared to the likes of Ronaldinho due to his composure on the ball complemented by his dribbling and creativity. Nani described Gomes as the next big thing coming out of United’s academy and despite his small height (which he uses to his advantage), Gomes is someone who could dictate the pace of the game from the middle of the park.

The 19-year-old is accredited to intelligently know how to keep the ball and could feature along the attacking line. Though passing is somewhere he doesn’t excel, he pretty much covers it up with his dribbles and skills.

On his day, Angel Gomes is joy to watch!

And Ed Woodward would be entitle to a considerable fee if Arsenal were to land Gomes. Though likes of Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan & Chelsea are also interested in signing the English starlet.

City rivals Chelsea are termed the favorites to sign Angel Gomes with Marina Granovskaia having allegedly held talks with Pini Zahavi about a potential deal to bring the teenager to Stamford Bridge.

Gomes has snubbed United’s offer believed to be worth  £30,000-a-week, and believes he has increased chances of first team football away from Old Trafford.

Born in London, Arsenal & Chelsea has a chance to bring the boy back home.
