Arsenal vs Huddersfield Town: Preview | Premier League 2018/19

Arsenal deserved to win against Manchester United, ain’t they? – especially traveling to Old Trafford after beating Tottenham Hotspur, full of confidence, favorites on the books.. But Unai Emery had to settle for a point and he would be backing his players to push for three points this Saturday when Huddersfield visit Emirates.

Although, Unai Emery declared himself ‘proud’ after the game against Man Utd, there is not doubt that he will be disappointed after leading twice and slipping vulnerably within space of minutes or even seconds (in case of second goal). On the positive side, Arsenal are on an 20 game unbeaten run and they have achieved this feat for the first time since 2007 – they will certainly be looking to make it 21 against Huddersfield on Saturday.

On the other hand, Huddersfield, sitting right on the brink of relegation zone have to get back to winning ways soon – if they are to survive in the Premier League when the season concludes in May. They did start reviving their season with seven points out of possible nine in November though couple of losses on the trot and a big match against Arsenal have brought them crashing down. But if they were to put up any chance to survive, David Wagner has to make his side start scoring some goals, as they sit right at the bottom of ‘goals scored’ table this season with only 10 goals this season. But they need to defend well this Saturday was they come up against a side who have scored 24 more goals then them – a side which boasts genuine quality on the attacking aspects of the game.

Huddersfield manager David Wagner was quizzed about his strikers ahead of their visit to Emirates, he insists being patient with his strikers and is sure they will have their chances: “I will be patient with my strikers. They are aware that we need goals from our strikers. This is the truth over the season and they have further games to go. They have their chances and have to put the ball in the net.”

Talking about Aaron Ramsey, he too was forced off the the stroke of half time, but he is probably down with only a small knock and Unai Emery will be hopeful for the return of Welshman.

But the Gooners have some songs to sing this Saturday, with Laurent Koscielny in line for his first team return after missing out for about 7-8 months of action and they also got Mesut Ozil in contention for the match.
