Team News

On paper, the expected playing eleven for the hosts are way ahead and stronger than the injury scared Manchester United, who are left with handful of players. The Red Devils have many of their first choice stars out owing to injuries.

As for the hosts, the insurgent and short-but-deadly Lucas Torreira is out living his 3-match suspension after a brawl against Tottenham including the long term injuries of Danny Welback, Rob Holding and Hector Bellerin.

Unai Emery will not be reluctant to start the Frenchman Lacazette, who is eyeing to net goals in 6 consecutive home games, a record only held for Arsenal by Thierry Henry.

Ainsley-Maitlan-Niles is also back in contention of making the tunnel after spending two games on the bench.

Injury laden Manchester United on the other hand will have an almost similar line-up as they had against PSG in UEFA Champions League with Paul Pogba coming in for the Brazilian midfielder, Andreas Pereira.

Former Arsenal man Alexis Sanchez, Antonio Valencia, Phil Jones, Matteo Darmian, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata will all be absent sustaining injuries.

Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic are doubtful but looks like they’ll return.

Head to Head

The Super Sunday will feature the 230th battle between two of the most loved and historically significant clubs of the Premier League. Manchester United have been the better of the two both in terms of history and wins; triumphing 99 times.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have conquered the good in their opponents for 82 times, few short of where they would like to be, ahead of Manchester United.

The reverse fixture of the two was eminently dominated by Arsenal with an unfair result of 2-2. But this time with “Ole’s at the wheel,” United won’t leave it easy for the Gunners.

Punter
