Cedric Soares might’ve just dropped hint over Arsenal permanent deal

Arsenal signed Cedric Soares from Southampton on loan until the end of the season and with all the words used – it looks like he will pen a permanent deal at the Emirates in the summer when his contract expires at St. Mary’s.

Cedric Soares joined Arsenal back in January on a half-season loan, though a combination of injuries and spread of global pandemic means Soares hasn’t kicked a ball yet for his new employers.

Cedric was due out of contact with Southampton anyway and O Jogo reported that Sporting Lisbon are looking to bring him back to Portugal.

Soares was speaking about the fact that he hasn’t yet made his Arsenal debut – and the Portuguese might have dropped a hint about turning his temporary stay in North-London into a permanent one.

Cedric speaking to Sky Sports: “I’m very excited for my first game for Arsenal. It’s a game of patience and I know it will happen in the near future.”

Though considering the ongoing pandemic, the 28-year-old yet doesn’t know whether he’ll play for the Gunners. But his confident claim over ‘it will happen’ suggests that there might be an unofficial agreement to make the deal permanent once he is able to.

And honestly, that ain’t bad for Arsenal. At only £65,000 per week with the Saints – the Gunners could save alot of money on a bosman deal.
