The winter transfer window has been speculated Arsenal to go aggressive, although after Emery’s fund admissions – things started to change and loan deals were expected. It is almost the dark but Arsenal haven’t found their loanee yet.

In their search, the player who was at the top of the barrel, Denis Suarez is still a maybe candidate. He is definitely number one on Emery’s list but the manager has also found an alternative who can com in-place the Spaniard, in case that doesn’t add up.

A 21-year-old young midfielder from PSG and a French international. Christopher Alan Nkunku, coming in from France, can be a late swoop for Arsenal if they are unable to seal Suarez’s deal.

Denis Suarez is reported to be stopped by Barcelona because of their internal matters with Raul Sanllehi who worked for Barcelona for 14 years but left them to join Arsenal as head of football relations. Also, Arsenal don’t have the amount of fund required to sign Suarez and offer Barcelona a deal they can’t refuse. And if not Denis Suarez, can it be Christopher Nkunku?

The 21-year-old has shared the dressing room with the likes of Neymar, Cavani and Mbappe, who have a magnanimous amount of experience on how to create goal scoring opportunities and get most of everytime they touh the ball. Playing since 2015, Nkunku has gained himself laurels in the dark blue shirt of PSG and with Ramsey going out can turn out to be a candidate of his replacement.

What makes him capable of replacing Ramsey and how will he be beneficial for Arsenal?

Nkunku possess a lot of similarities with Ramsey be it his attacking abilities or creativity in making short passes. The player is a box-to-box expert just like Ramsey with an add-on ability of scoring long range shots. A team player, Nkunku is a master in lay-offs and short passes.

A versatile midfielder with the abilities of replacing Aaron Ramsey. Unai Emery has made it evident that he wants to sign a player who he has already managed be it Banega or Suarez or even Nkunku, whom he bossed last year when he was at PSG.

Arsenal are trying to sign in the youngster on loan and later extend his tenure with an option in the summer. The midfielder who used to feature regularly under PSG has found no place under Tuchel and could be on his way out looking for some regular game time.

“He’s a player I’ve liked since the first time I’ve seen him,” said the Frenchman, as reported by Get French Football News. “At that time, he was a player that came to help us, with other players from the CFA team.

“When we are (training) in Paris, with the strength that we have, for a young player, it’s difficult.

“If you come to a training session, and you aren’t good technically, you will struggle.

“Immediately, I noticed the ease of his technique and I think I wasn’t alone.

“The first team players are attentive to the players who come.

“They look at them, they test them a little bit and eventually, if it suits them, they accept you. I told him, ‘this is the hardest thing for you.’

“It’s a nice surprise, he has an important edge on his progression.”

In a further interview about the youngster, he said: “It’s very difficult to get into the first team, you need to be ruthless but at the same time you must be at ease with the ball, Christopher (Nkunku) ticks all these boxes.”

According to L’Equipe, “Arsenal have brokered a deal with PSG whereby Nkunku will move to north London on loan until the end of the season with an option to purchase him in the summer should he impress at the Emirates.“ – The same formula Arsenal were trying to apply with Denis Suarez that did not turn out their way and now Gunners have kept the ball rolling with a deal to Nkunku. However, the deal will be a seal only if PSG are able to find a replacement of the Frenchman.

Until then, let’s hope Arsenal find a necessary replacement of Ramsey. Having said that, first priority has to be given to the Spaniard, Denis Suarez and later to the Frenchman, Christiphor Alan Nkunku.
