Arsenal highly rated starlet Emile-Smith Rowe joined RB Leipzig on-loan for the rest of the season back in January, although injury prevented him to get all the game time he would have hoped for in Germany. But he has managed to impress everyone involved with Leipzig and RB Leipzig’s manager Ralf Rangnick confirmed that the club have told Arsenal they’re interested in loaning Emile Smith Rowe once again next season.

Emile-Smith Rowe has only manahed one couple of minute appearance for the German side due to struggles with groin problems. Nevertheless, his attitude and hardwork in training have impressed people at his loan club, who are willing to get him back for the next season.

“We had two representatives from Arsenal here,” Rangnick said. “They observed training and also talked to Emile. In conversation with them, we have already put forward that we are interested in another loan.”

When he is at his one hundred percent – Smith Rowe is byfar one of the best upcoming talents im England. He had been consistent for Arsenal academy with Under-18s and didn’t have any problems stepping up with Under-23s last season.

Then, he also looked impressive playing under Unai Emery – scoring three goals in six appearances.

It’s indeed a shame that this loan spell didn’t give all he would have expected, although playing in new city and new culture gives you some valuable exposure and experience as well.

We will have to wait and see whether Arsenal would be happy loaning him out for next season, whether they think RB Leipzig is the right place for young Emile to develop.
