As if appears, Arsenal have completed the first signing of their summer in young winger George Lewis from Fram Larvik in Norway following a trial at London Conley over the winter.
VG managed to get hold of Norwegian club’s sports director Jostein Jensen, who confirmed the deal, “Yes, we can confirm that. I have been told he has signed for Arsenal”.
Although there has been no official announcement regarding the deal, but the reports in English media suggest that George Lewis won’t take the Martinelli way and rather feature for Arsenal’s U23s rather than integrating the first-team straight away.
George Lewis signed for Fram Larvik from Tromsdalen UIL back in August 2019, though has been restricted to only five professional appearances which appears enough to convince Arsenal to gamble on him.
Official statements are yet to divulge nonetheless Jensen went out of his way to give his best to the youngster.
Jensen said: “We wish George good luck”.
