You don’t get many decisions in your favour when you don that Gunners’ badge, let alone penalties – but surely when you do get one, you need to make most of it. Now putting the pens behind the goalie has never been a problem at Arsenal – we’ve had some exceptional penalty takers but when you don’t score three from three, its gonna be a headline talking point. Alexandre Lacazette shot from the spot was saved comfortably from Lukasz Fabiański last night, which was the third on the trot after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang missed his penalties against Aston Villa followed by Watford not too long ago.

While Aubameyang, as well as Alex Lacazette, are both very reliable pen takers, to put it into prospective – this was the first one Alexandre Lacazette missed since he joined Arsenal. Yet, Mikel Arteta would be scratching his head whether this needs any changing.

If not Mikel, Ian Wright surely has a prospective to try a new taker – and the legendary Gunners’ striker has a surprise suggestion; “It is a bit of a worry now because Aubameyang is not there to take them, we’ve seen him miss them, (Lacazette) missed that one and it didn’t look very convincing, so I don’t know what they’re going to do now. I think Pepe has taken… but he is nowhere near the pitch. There is a worry at the minute with Arsenal and penalties, we need to find somebody who is going to come up and put their foot through it.” as broadcasted on Optus Sport.

“Where is Xhaka? I’d love to see Xhaka take a penalty.”
