Listing Arsenal’s early transfer targets for upcoming summer

Arsenal’s squad is full of potential, but it lacks some key ingredients to take them to the next level. The Gunners have some promising young talents in their ranks – such as Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli. These players highlight what Mikel Arteta can do when given more players with elite skill sets; however, this summer transfer window is a great opportunity for him to put his icing on top.

The most problematic area of the squad is likely to be without a few key players. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s departure and Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah’s expiring contracts mean that Arsenal needs added firepower. However, both players will leave once their contract ends this June, which might not be a bad thing, according to some fans.

The selection of Darwin Nunez for this position is not only due to his quality but also because he can operate out wide. The Uruguayan forward has become one of the hottest prospects in soccer after scoring 32 goals within 37 appearances at Benfica. He is 22 years old with an explosive turn-of pace and clinical touch in goal setting, making him stand above other players available on the market today.

Cody Gakpo is a young, talented forward for PSV Eindhoven. He’s doomed to be compared with Jesus Vicente Nunez because they both play as left-sided strikers. However, there are still some significant differences between the two players, such as how often each scores goals or provides assists compared to their respective teams’ tactics, which can significantly influence these stats.

Takehiro Tomiyasu hasn’t been fit enough to play in the recent matches due to his calf injury, though he did make a comeback of the bench appearing as a late substitute against Manchester United last week. His absence has led to the appearance of Cedric Soares in a few Arsenal games, but fans are not yet convinced of his consistency and reliability.

With Tomiyasu and Cedric’s levels of play so close, it is worrying that the difference might be attributed to something as simple as training. However, if we look at Arteta’s doorstep, the fix can come in the form of a young star making names for himself with his impressive displays on loan this season at Lincoln City: Brooke Norton-Cuffy.

The midfielder recently helped lead Lincoln City into victory against Aldershot Town while managing two assists before turning 19 years old.

Mohamed Elneny’s contract is expected to expire at the end of the season. With injuries leaving young Sambi Lokonga to fill in on occasion, the team already believes the positions need reinforcement. This belief will make you wonder about his experience level given how many times he’s been called upon this season, especially considering some glimpses from him would suggest considerable potential remains untapped just yet.

The signing of Ruben Neves would provide the team with an additional leader on their squad. The Portuguese international has played in the Premier League for a while and has great experience. He is also well-known for his strong leadership skills, making him a perfect sign-up. Florian Grillitsch could replace Elneny, who’s leaving after six seasons with Arsenal.

Conclusion

Arsenal is a team with great potential, and with the right players, it can rise to greater heights. Some names are bigger than others but news sites all around the world keep on speculating which players will sign a contract for the Gunners. Their coach has a great attitude and got the right motivation to get the team to its desired position.
