Arsenal have reportedly gained interest in Paris Saint German’s midfielder Julian Draxler six years after Robert Pires advised Arsene Wenger to sign him as he enters the final 12 months of his contract with the club.

The 26-year-old Draxler has his future at PSG in doubt with Gunners growing their interest in him. If PSG want to receive any fee for the German, they’ll have to sell him in a month or so.

Arsenal have reportedly increased their search for an attacking midfielder with growing doubts of Mesut Ozil’s future. Even the World-Cup winner is in his final year of contract with Arsenal which does not seem to be renewing.

The invincible legend Pires had advised Wenger in 2014 to bring Julian Draxler London. “Julian is a good player,”Pires told Spox.com, as quoted by Goal. “He’s young and has a lot of potential for development. When I watch him play, I always think that he fits perfectly with Arsenal’s style of football.”

Although the comments of Pires are from six years back, Arsenal still need an attacking midfielder like Draxler who has the knack of scoring goals

And given that he’ll be available for a cheap bargain, Arsenal will finally have to listen to Pires’ advice and bring Draxler to Emirates.
