Its time for new era at Arsenal – ‘The Unai Emery reigns‘ and there are changes expected at North-London to back Gunners back to where they belong, On the Top.

Now, Arsenal have strengthen their defensive unit ahead of next season. Arsenal have brought in Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Bernd Leno and Lucas Torreira to solve their defensive vows this campaign. But we have Mohamed Elneny and Granit Xhaka already at defensive midfield, don’t we?

After the signing of Lucas Torreira, many would think it could be a big blow to Mohamed Elneny’s career at Emirates. But, it may not be as it seems to be.

Mohamed Elneny could give strong competition to Lucas Torreira as well as Granit Xhaka and get into the starting lineup next season. The 26 year old has proved himself in Arsenal colors in the last couple of seasons. He is a top passer, a physical presence and could generate some key passes outta the blue.

Mohamed Elneny made 72 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 2 goals. Under Unai Emery, the Gunners are expected play 4-2-3-1 or 4-1-2-1-2 with high emphasis on the deep midfielders. Granit Xhaka is certainly the first choice going into the season. Mohamed Elneny, Lucas Torreira and Maitland-Niles will have to fight amongst themselves to feature into the starting XI.

Mohamed Elneny will certainly get his chances in the Europa League fixtures and other leagues. In the upcoming season, many rotations are expected in the midfield and Mohamed Elneny will be desperate to prove himself again and again whenever he will get the opportunity.
